we have planned a weekend in the Shoalhaven.
Saturday 3rd May: Club Member Tony Strachan has kindly invited fellow BDC Members to visit his unique
country house to enjoy a picnic and wine tasting in the grounds.
Where: ‘Villa Strachanus’
Arrival Time: From 11.30am
Wine Tasting: From 1.30pm by Louise from Camberwarra Estate Winery
Set in 14 acres, 6 acres of which are rainforest, and bordered by a nature reserve, Tony designed his house, completed in 1988, in the style of the villas of the Veneto in Italy. The villa is essentially a ‘solar’ building.
Tony hosts ‘Villa Music’, a series of Classical Music Concerts, at his country house each year - some of us may be interested to attend the Concerts in September.
Bring everything you need for your picnic. Tony will provide chairs and glasses for all.
Parking is available on the acres of rolling lawns, so we can admire our Bentleys while we picnic.
If the weather is inclement, for members, refuge can be taken in the 60’ long gallery, and for our Bentleys, parking will be available on a gravel driveway.

Sunday 4th May: We have arranged a visit to Bundanon, the property of distinguished artist Arthur
Boyd, with a guided tour of the homestead, his studio and grounds.
Where: ‘Bundanon’, Bundanon Road (off Illaroo Rd),
Arrival Times: 10.30am to 1.00pm
Departure Times: 1.30pm to 4.00pm

We lined up the Derby Bentleys which were present on the day.....to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of derby Bentleys....

As we picnicked you can see we looked out to the display of beautiful Bentleys surrounding the property.....

In the centre we could admire Pauls R Type Continental...
We all had a terrific time. We parked our Bentleys at Cambewarra Estate Winery and caught the bus to Bundanon (Arthur Boyd's property)...
Here we saw some of the Boyd family artwork....very impressive...
