Sunday 10th Feb 2008

Where: Picton

Time: From 12 noon

Michael M, who was previously a Bentley Drivers Club Member and an owner of an S3 and Continental R, has very kindly extended an invitation to BDC Members to visit his home at Picton and enjoy a picnic in the grounds. The original home dates back about 110 years, the land being part of a grant by Governor Macquarie to his daughter. Michael’s home is a beautiful old brick building on foundations of stone quarried from the Picton area and set in 50 acres on which he runs cattle. There are extensive gardens, an outdoor sandstone paved swimming pool and a tennis court. There is ample room for our cars to be parked on the property on a gravel area, a short walk from where we would set up our picnic tables and chairs.

The invitation is for a picnic luncheon in the grounds, so you will need to bring everything – tables, chairs, rugs, picnic basket, esky and all the food and drink you require. Hot water can be supplied, toilet facilities are available and if the weather is inclement, shelter is also available.

Directions:

The property lies between the towns of Picton and Tahmoor, on the south side of the road.

The entrance to the property will be marked.

Dress: Smart Casual please

RSVP: There is no charge for this event

Please advise your interest for lunch numbers to Coralie Ogle
